Ebony Macassar is sourced in the Celebes Islands and Maluka, Bornea. It is very rare as a veneer wood because it only grows to small dimensions. Not all ebonies are classically black. Select ebonies with distinguishing black, brown and tan streaks are sought out for the Ashton Humidors.
